This is the True Story

of a Warbrobe Stylist. Picked to style December issue of Glossy Magazine, work with an amazing team of hair, make up, photographer, set designer, and have their lives taped. WAIT. Scratch that. Wrong show.

The real True Story was that after receiving word I would be styling the December issue of Glossy Magazine for Austin American Statesman, I did a happy dance! Then, I went straight into panic mode. The Rachel Zoe Project makes this shiz look easy when in reality, styling is no easy feat. Don't get me wrong, I get to style beautiful models in beautiful clothes and work with amazingly, creative people all day but it is hard work! This styling job was especially special-can I say that?-because not only was I honored to style the issue, I was also given the opportunity to write the accompanying article. No joke, I had WRITER'S BLOCK but every bit of it is worth it when you see the final and published product. True Story-I'm one lucky girl.

Check out the electronic version of Glossy Magazine HERE

Wardrobe options taking over my car. This is NOT including jewelry and shoes in the trunk.

Accessory table. Kendra Scott gave us their ENTIRE holiday collection to work with.
The bandana necklace is a work of art and can be found at Kick Pleat.

Prepping look one. I was so excited to be able to style pieces from Rachel Zoe's recent collection.

My trusty assistant and sister, Sara, prepping shoes by taping the bottoms.

Unpacking the amazing hats we pulled from Lana Chu.

Set designers Tyson and Jess hard at work creating their masterpiece of a set.

Make up artist Laura Martinez doing some last minute touch-ups.

One last look before we shoot.

Austin American Statesman photographer Ricardo Brazziell doing his thing.

And last but not the least, the final spread.

Lovely Encounters

It was a vintage black and white maxi skirt that first introduced my Sister and I to fellow blogger, Kenyatta. After a couple more chance encounters Kenyatta asked my Sister and I if she could write a post about us on her blog, Her Campus. Of course we said yes! Here is a look at the finished project.

Thanks again Kenyatta!
